REVIEW OF TWIN PEAKS

Alex and Josh make a pot of black coffee and talk about their Tibet-related dreams for four minutes. Do you want to hear what my log thinks? I didn’t think so. Originally played on Canvas on FBi radio.

Made by  Josh Wheatley and Alex Parker.

That gum you like is going to come back in style.

It has been 20 years since the classic Twin Peaks TV series first aired. Want the gist? The sleepy town of Twin Peaks is rocked by the shocking murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer. Kooky FBI Agent Dale Cooper swings by to investigate. Some things are stranger than they seem. Produced by David Lynch and featuring a labyrinthine cast of memorable characters, it’s the perfect time to chow down on some damn fine cherry pie and revisit this gem.

REVIEW OF WILFRED

All we ask is a good scratch, a good game of catch and the occasional walkies. Maybe some nachos from time to time. Played on Canvas on FBi.

Made by Alex Parker & Josh Wheatley.

Who let the dog out?

There is nothing greater than a TV show about dogs. Based on this logic, Wilfred could be the greatest show ever made. With a bong smoking, lazy, foul mouthed protagonist getting into lots of crazy situations, it might just be crazy enough to work. Take 80s sitcom ALF, add teddy-rape and heavy drama, and you’re still not even close. Comedy at its finest or Tropfest gone insane?

REVIEW OF THE PACIFIC

Josh and Alex head straight into the battle zone, and come out alive. Because they never really went to battle. Just played RISK for a bit. Played on Canvas on FBi.
Made by Alex Parker & Josh Wheatley.

Apocalypse this!

With explosions, men in hats and gruesome deaths, ‘The Pacific’ is not an easy watch. Produced by Steven Spielberg (the filmmaker behind ‘Hook’) and Tom Hanks (‘Bachelor Party’, ‘Big’), this expensive mini-series shows us where Tim from Jurassic Park is after 17 years. I’ll tell you: he’s a lot taller, still can’t grow much facial hair, and is wondering where all the dinosaurs went. Poor kid. War is hell.

REVIEW OF DR WHO

We stop the time warp for four minutes and try to figure out what the heck is going on. It’s just a step to the left. And then a step to the right. Apparently. Played on Canvas on FBi.
Made by Alex Parker & Josh Wheatley.

He’s not a real doctor.

Dr Who is returns in his eleventh incarnation, this time with a trendy haircut and gaunt appearance. Travelling through time, solving intergalactic crime, he’s a man with a mission. Thankfully his missions are weekly and episodic. If you’re going in thinking that this is ‘House’ with aliens, you might be dissapointed. For starters, this doctor doesn’t have a limp. He also lives in a police telephone box, but he’s not homeless. Ah, the mysteries of the universe.
